Zilong is all courage, through and through.
Liu Bei, in the Separate Biography of Zhao Yun quoted in the commentary to the Records of the Three Kingdoms
A native of Zhending in Changshan. He first served Gongsun Zan, met Liu Bei there, and followed him for the rest of his life. At Changban in the 13th year of Jian'an he rode back alone into the rout caused by Cao Cao's pursuit, clasped Lady Gan and the infant Adou to his chest and broke through the enemy; the Romance says he went in and out seven times and cut down more than fifty officers. He took part in the conquest of Yi Province, and in the struggle for Hanzhong, surrounded by a great Wei army over the grain on the northern hills, he drove it off with the empty-camp stratagem, gates open and banners lowered, then pursued and won a great victory. Seeing his camp the next morning, Liu Bei praised him: "Zilong is all courage, through and through." In Zhuge Liang's first northern campaign he served as the decoy in the Ji valley and, though beaten, brought his army off in good order. He died in the 7th year of Jianxing and was later posthumously made Marquis Shunping.
